Belinda's Tuesday Tip 57 – Master the Art of Listening

Episode Summary –

Most people think that effective communication is only about talking. But that is just half of a conversation. Most often, people forget the other part, which is learning to be a good listener.

Most of us are good at talking, but when it comes to listening to the other person, we fall short.

If you want great and effective conversations, you must master the art of becoming a good listener.

When you pay attention to what others are saying, it helps you understand the other person's perspectives, have better conversations, and allows you to provide them with better solutions.

“The more we allow the other person to be heard, the more we make them feel that they are important.”

By becoming a good listener, you start having more fulfilling and transparent conversations. It can also reduce the chance of misunderstandings.

How often have you experienced having a conversation and later not being sure what the conversation was about or maybe realized that you skipped some critical points of the discussion?

Lack of paying attention to what others are saying is the primary reason.

When you do this, you risk losing business because you fail to build a relationship.

In this episode, I share some top tips that can help you become a better listener.
