One of the greatest challenges we deal with as salespeople is the fear of being pushy. However, there are some simple tricks and mindset shifts that you can use to overcome this feeling. These tips are not limited to salespeople but relevant for everyone. That’s because we are all, consciously or unconsciously, in the business of selling something in one way or another, whether it is selling yourself, a product, or an idea.

The biggest tip is to always sell from a benefits point of view instead of a descriptive point of view. Descriptive selling means you describe the product in detail, while benefit selling involves clearly articulating the benefits a client will get from using the product. Effective selling always focuses on the buyer’s eye instead of the seller’s eye.
